1.1 Platform availability
Official TellShots apps and web access are distributed or provided through:
- the web app at tellshots.com (supported browsers), and
- Apple App Store (iOS), and
- Google Play Store (Android).
Builds or sites obtained outside those channels may be unauthorised and insecure; we are not responsible for issues arising from unofficial copies.
By downloading from Apple or Google you agree to their applicable store terms where required. TellShots is offered alongside those platform rules, not instead of them.
1.2 Language
These Terms are provided in English. If we publish translations, the English version controls to the extent permitted by applicable law.
1.3 Electronic notices
You agree that we may send operational and legal notices by electronic means (for example email or in-product messages), except where a mandatory law requires another form.
2. Global availability & local compliance
TellShots is available worldwide. Availability may vary by platform, app-store territory, feature flags, payment methods, or compliance decisions.
2.1 Premium payment feature restrictions
Our premium payment features — Ad-free and Identity Verification (processed via Stripe) — are not available to users in the following jurisdictions due to OFAC sanctions, Stripe payment restrictions, and/or high-risk compliance requirements:
Cuba (CU), Iran (IR), North Korea (KP), Syria (SY), Russia (RU), Belarus (BY), Afghanistan (AF), Central African Republic (CF), China (CN), Democratic Republic of the Congo (CD), Eritrea (ER), Haiti (HT), Iraq (IQ), Lebanon (LB), Libya (LY), Myanmar/Burma (MM), Nicaragua (NI), Sudan (SD), Somalia (SO), South Sudan (SS), Venezuela (VE), Yemen (YE), Zimbabwe (ZW).
Users in these jurisdictions may still access the core TellShots platform (browse, post predictions, interact with the community), but checkout flows for premium features will be unavailable or blocked. This list may be updated as sanctions and payment-processor rules change.
2.2 Your obligations
- You must comply with all laws that apply to you where you access or use the Service — including laws relating to online conduct, content, regulated industries, gambling or wagering (where relevant), financial promotions, sanctions, export controls, and taxation.
- TellShots is not a gambling, wagering, sweepstakes, or investment-advice service. We do not operate prediction markets with payouts tied to outcomes on your behalf. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use is lawful in your location.
- We may use technical or policy measures (geo-blocking, age gates, disabling features, or account restrictions) where we believe they are necessary for legal or operational reasons.
3. Service description
TellShots is a social prediction community: users publish forecasts, join discussions, react to content, follow others, discover topics, and see reputation-style signals derived from activity and outcomes in the product.
3.1 Core functionality
Depending on the build and your account type, the Service may include (without limitation):
- Accounts & profiles — registration with email/password on all platforms; on web we may also offer OAuth sign-in (such as Google or Apple) via Supabase where enabled; profile fields including optional avatar images;
- Guest access — limited browsing without a full account, subject to restrictions described in Section 4.4;
- Predictions & threads — creating, viewing, and interacting with predictions and threaded discussion;
- Feeds & discovery — personalised or ranked feeds, search, categories or topic-style groupings, and discovery of other forecasters;
- Social graph — following users and related signals exposed in the UI;
- Reactions & engagement — lightweight engagement actions on content where implemented;
- Notifications — an in-app notification inbox synced to your account (for example activity relevant to you); on mobile we may store an optional preference for future alert behaviour — native OS push delivery is not guaranteed in every build;
- Optional identity verification — paid verification via Stripe and a hosted identity session with our verification vendor (currently Didit), resulting in a verification badge for a stated validity window when approved (see Section 5);
- Automated & assisted resolution tooling — backend processes may classify predictions, route them to data sources or models, and resolve outcomes against external references or model-assisted review (see Section 6);
- Scores & badges — credibility, calibration, leaderboard-style rankings, and badges (some are automated; some may be granted administratively in-product).
3.2 Outcomes & verification paths
Predictions may be linked to structured verification metadata (for example price feeds, weather archives, or model-assisted web research). Resolution timing and methodology depend on category, configuration, confidence thresholds, operational queues, and third-party data availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free resolution.
3.3 What TellShots is not
- We do not guarantee that any forecast, score, badge, or leaderboard position is accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose;
- We are not a broker, exchange, bank, or custodian of funds for trading outcomes between users based on prediction results;
- Optional identity verification indicates that an identity check was completed subject to vendor processes — it is not an endorsement of skill, honesty, or future prediction accuracy.
4. Eligibility, accounts & security
4.1 Age
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority / legal contracting age in your jurisdiction (whichever is higher), to create an account or use account-based features. The Service is not directed to children.
4.2 Registration & accuracy
To access full functionality you must:
- provide accurate, current, and complete information;
- maintain and promptly update your account details;
- maintain the security of your credentials and devices;
- notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use;
- accept responsibility for activity performed through your account except where caused by our gross negligence or unlawful conduct.
4.3 Account security
You must not share passwords in ways that compromise security, credential-stuff other services' passwords, or allow third parties to operate your account contrary to these Terms. Where password change or login-security features are offered, use them consistent with good practice.
4.4 Guest mode
We may allow limited access without registering ("guest"). Guest sessions may be unable to create or persist certain content, may lack sync across devices, and may be withdrawn or changed without notice. Some flows will prompt you to sign in for actions such as saving predictions.
5. Optional identity verification & payments (Stripe)
5.1 Overview
Identity verification is optional. Where offered, it typically involves (a) payment through our payments partner Stripe (including Stripe Checkout or embedded payment UIs as presented in-product), then (b) completing a hosted verification session operated by Didit (or another vendor we designate). Card numbers and wallet credentials are handled under Stripe's terms and PCI-compliant infrastructure — TellShots / Neno Group does not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
By initiating verification checkout or entering payment details in Stripe flows embedded in the Service, you agree to Stripe's applicable terms and privacy notices.
5.2 Verification fees & taxes
Fees are shown before you confirm payment in the Verify ID flow. Amounts may depend on the country associated with your profile (examples configured in our systems: Australia AUD 5.00, United States USD 5.00, Canada CAD 5.00, New Zealand NZD 5.00, United Kingdom GBP 4.00, India INR 499 — subject to change with reasonable notice where required).
Taxes (GST, VAT, sales tax, or similar) may apply depending on your location and Stripe's configuration; they may be included or added at checkout as presented.
5.3 Verification flow & outcomes
- You request verification and complete Stripe Checkout or an embedded payment step.
- After successful payment, you are directed to complete Didit's session (documents and/or liveness checks as required).
- Didit performs review; we receive an outcome to display verification status and expiry in-product.
- If verification is declined or abandoned after payment, you may not receive a badge — see refund posture below.
5.4 Badges & revocation
Approved verification is shown for the validity window communicated on your profile (for example on an annual basis from approval — see in-product dates). We may remove, suspend, or refuse verification badges where we detect fraud, impersonation, Terms breaches, vendor reassessment, legal obligation, or risk concerns.
5.5 Refunds & chargebacks
Verification fees compensate for payment processing and vendor identity services. Except where non-waivable consumer rights apply in your jurisdiction, fees are non-refundable once the verification session has started or payment has succeeded — including where Didit declines verification — unless we expressly communicate otherwise in-product or are required by law.
Chargebacks and payment disputes are handled under Stripe's rules and may affect your account status or eligibility for future verification.
5.6 No custodial wallet
Verification payments are not deposits securing trades between users. TellShots does not hold customer funds for peer-to-peer settlement of prediction outcomes.
6. AI-assisted extraction & resolution
Parts of the Service send prediction text and related context to machine-learning models (including, at time of writing, Anthropic Claude Haiku) to suggest structured fields, routing (such as market-data or weather-data paths where applicable), tags, and automated or assisted outcome assessment alongside deterministic checks and human operational processes.
- Outputs are assistive: they may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You remain responsible for the substance of what you publish and for complying with law.
- Automated resolution may require confidence thresholds; uncertain outcomes may remain pending manual review or further processing as implemented.
- You consent to this processing as essential to delivering those features, subject to our Privacy Policy.
7. Your content & licence
7.1 Storage & delivery
Text and relational data are hosted through our backend providers (including Supabase). Images such as profile avatars may be processed through our image pipeline (including Cloudflare Images where configured).
7.2 Licence you grant us
You retain ownership of content you create. By submitting content to TellShots you grant Neno Group a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, adapt (format-shift), display, distribute, and otherwise use your content solely to operate, secure, promote (including showcasing public posts), improve, and analyse the Service — including moderation, ranking, backups, and enforcement of these Terms.
7.3 Your representations
You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant the licence above and that your content does not violate law or third-party rights.
7.4 Prohibited content
You must not post or solicit content that:
- is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, exploitative, or graphically violent;
- infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or confidentiality rights;
- distributes malware or interferes with the Service;
- constitutes spam, pyramid schemes, or deceptive manipulation of engagement;
- promotes unlawful gambling operations or unlawful coordinated wagering schemes;
- violates sanctions, export-control, or securities/marketing laws applicable to you.
8. Acceptable use
In addition to Section 7.4, you agree not to:
- impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation with Neno Group;
- use bots, scripts, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour to distort reactions, metrics, or discovery;
- scrape or bulk-collect data outside interfaces or permissions we expressly allow;
- reverse engineer or circumvent security except where statutory rights override;
- probe or attack infrastructure (including denial-of-service attempts);
- mine personal data about users from TellShots for unrelated surveillance or marketing databases;
- use the Service for harassment campaigns or coordinated brigading.
We may investigate misuse, cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate, and apply remedies under Section 16.
9. Scores, rankings & informational nature
Credibility, calibration, leaderboard positions, automated badges, and similar signals are generated from in-Service activity, outcomes, heuristics, scheduled jobs, and administrative decisions. They are provided for information and community context only.
- They are not investment, betting, or professional advice;
- They may lag reality, omit context, or contain errors;
- Past performance on TellShots does not predict future results.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on vendors and integrations including (without limitation):
- Supabase — authentication, database, serverless functions;
- Stripe — verification payments;
- Didit — hosted identity verification sessions;
- Google / Apple — OAuth sign-in on web where enabled; Apple/Google platform services for mobile app distribution;
- Cloudflare — CDN / images;
- Anthropic — AI extraction / assisted resolution paths;
- Geocoding — on web, optional search APIs (such as Photon/Komoot using OpenStreetMap data); on mobile, platform geocoding via Expo / the operating system when you search or use GPS during signup;
- Public reference APIs — deterministic checks may call third-party data sources (for example CoinGecko-style market data or Open-Meteo-style weather archives) as configured for a prediction;
- Expo — tooling and runtime used to build our React Native mobile apps.
Those vendors process information subject to their own terms and privacy notices.
11. Our intellectual property
TellShots branding, UI composition, software, databases (excluding your content), and documentation we provide are owned by Neno Group or licensors. Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary materials.
11.1 Copyright complaints (DMCA)
TellShots complies with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. We have registered a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office (Designated Agent Directory Registration No. DMCA-1073565).
If you are a copyright owner (or authorised to act on behalf of one) and believe that material on TellShots infringes your copyright, you may send a notice of infringement to our designated agent. To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include:
- identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
- identification of the allegedly infringing material and information sufficient to locate it on the Service (for example, the prediction or profile URL);
- your contact information (name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address);
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the copyright owner's behalf;
- your physical or electronic signature.

- Full postal address and phone number are on file with the U.S. Copyright Office Designated Agent Directory (Registration No. DMCA-1073565) and may be obtained from the Directory or by emailing us at the address above.
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will respond expeditiously to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and will notify the user who posted it. The affected user may submit a counter-notification meeting the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). We may restore the material 10–14 business days after a counter-notification unless the original complainant files a court action seeking to restrain the user's activity.
Repeat infringers: we will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
Knowingly submitting false or misleading information in a DMCA notice or counter-notice may result in liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), including costs and attorneys' fees.
12. Privacy
Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you acknowledge collection, processing, cross-border transfers, and disclosures stated there.
13. Feedback
If you submit ratings, suggestions, or other feedback about the Service, you grant us permission to use it without obligation or compensation to you, except where prohibited by law.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws that apply to you, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available".
- User-generated forecasts and comments may be wrong, misleading, or offensive — we do not pre-screen everything and are not responsible for third-party statements;
- Nothing on TellShots is professional financial, legal, medical, tax, or wagering advice;
- Third-party data feeds and APIs may fail, delay, or change — affecting extraction or resolution;
- We may change, suspend, or discontinue features or datasets where commercially or legally necessary.
Mandatory consumer guarantee laws in your jurisdiction cannot be excluded — nothing in these Terms limits those non-waivable rights.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law and comparable consumer laws), Neno Group's aggregate liability arising out of these Terms or the Service — where liability cannot be excluded — is limited, at our election, to resupplying the affected Service or paying the cost of resupply. We exclude liability for consequential, indirect, special, exemplary, or punitive damages except where such exclusion is prohibited.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Neno Group and its directors, officers, employees, and contractors against third-party claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, breach of these Terms, or misuse of the Service — except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or unlawful conduct, and only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
17. Moderation, suspension & termination
We may remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe there is a breach, legal obligation, risk to safety, fraud, or operational necessity. You may stop using TellShots at any time and may request deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.
Clauses which by their nature should survive (including licences granted within limits of law, disclaimers to the extent permitted, liability caps, indemnities to the extent permitted, governing law, dispute provisions) survive termination.
18. Disputes between users
TellShots provides communication and social tooling only. Disputes between users regarding forecasts, opinions, or interactions should be resolved between the parties. We are not obliged to mediate; we may intervene only where we choose for moderation or legal reasons.
19. Disputes with Neno Group
If you have a concern, contact [email protected] first. Parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution before commencing proceedings where reasonable.
20. Governing law, jurisdiction & consumers
20.1 Contract law
Subject to non-waivable mandatory laws below, these Terms are governed by the laws of Australia (excluding conflict-of-law rules that would refer another jurisdiction's substantive laws).
20.2 Courts
Subject to mandatory local rules, you and Neno Group submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New South Wales, Australia, for disputes arising from these Terms — except where a statute or public policy in your country requires a different forum for consumers.
20.3 Mandatory consumer protections
Regardless of where you are located, nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction. Examples include (without limitation):
- European Economic Area / UK: mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence may apply to certain aspects of our relationship;
- United States: federal and state consumer protection laws may apply depending on your state;

- Australia: the Australian Consumer Law may apply;
- All other jurisdictions: equivalent consumer protection statutes in your country of residence may apply.
Supervisory authorities or agencies may be listed in our Privacy Policy for privacy-related complaints.
21. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms (with the Privacy and Cookies policies) are the entire agreement regarding the Service subject to additional platform rules.
- Severability. If a provision is invalid, the remainder stays in effect.
- No waiver. Failure to enforce is not a waiver of future enforcement.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
- No agency. No partnership, employment, or agency relationship is created.
22. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post revisions here and update the "Last updated" date. Where changes are material and we are legally required to notify you, we will use reasonable channels (such as in-app notice or email). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance unless prohibited by law.
23. Child Safety Standards
23.1 Age requirement
TellShots is intended for users who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction (whichever is higher). The Service is not directed to children under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18 we will take appropriate action including account suspension or removal.
23.2 Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)
We have a zero-tolerance policy toward any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits, or endangers minors. The following are strictly prohibited on TellShots:
- Any content that sexually exploits, depicts, or solicits minors in any form;
- Grooming, recruitment, or trafficking of minors;
- Any attempt to use the platform to gain inappropriate access to minors.
Violations result in immediate account termination and will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or relevant law-enforcement agencies. We cooperate fully with law enforcement and regulatory bodies investigating CSAE.

If you encounter content or behaviour that you believe violates these standards, please report it immediately:
- In-app: use the Report function on any post, prediction, or user profile;
